Just mere weeks ago, Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor Draper) received notice that she was free of her violent ex Tom, after he finally agreed to their divorce in Emmerdale.
Released from her horror marriage and the prolonged grasp of her imprisoned ex, Belle felt free to date again.
Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) convinced her to join dating apps, on which Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah) quickly popped up. Feeling bold on Belle’s behalf, Nicola swiped right.
Belle felt forced to make the exceptionally awkward clarification to Kammy that it was not her who had done the swiping, leaving the mechanic holding together the shreds of his ego with his fingertips.
But it would seem, Belle was a bit rash, as the couple began dating and having a lovely time, despite a few more setbacks.
That is until, the incident with Vinny (Bradley Johnson) spirals out of control.
Vinny was beaten by a man he met on the internet for possibly being gay, and too ashamed to tell Gabby (Rosie Bentham), he blamed it on Kammy.
Kammy’s name is now mud in the village as he vows to stick by Vinny and keep his secret. But he hasn’t banked on Gabby and her fierce loyalty to her wronged hubby-to-be.
Having already warned Kammy to stay away from them, she goes on to warn Belle that Kammy is not the kind of guy she should be dating due to his violent streak.
Belle is rocked – and immediately calls it a day with Kammy, siting the fact that she’s only just rid herself of her abusive ex Tom. Kammy desperately tries to convince her otherwise but has no luck. Gutted, he concedes.
Belle then turns to Vinny as her confident, but his guilt is radiating from his pores. He wants to tell her the truth, but he can’t bring himself to. He decides he must do something to right this wrong, and finds Kammy to apologise.
But Kammy is not here for it, he’s had enough and refuses to forgive him. Worse is still to come for Vinny when he hears more from Belle about how disappointed she is.
