Emmerdale fans have been left urging Moira Dingle to make a small adjustment to her farm to stop her from selling it to Joe and Kim Tate.
Viewers of the ITV soap will be aware that Moira (Natalie J Robb) has been battling to keep Butlers Farm afloat, following the slurry disaster orchestrated by villain John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) back in May.
To make matters worse, Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) has been scheming to snatch the farm from under Moira in a bid to win over his step-grandmother, Kim (Claire King). However, during Tuesday’s (August 19) instalment, Celia arrived at the farm bearing devastating news for Moira.
Celia disclosed that their fresh contract had collapsed, leaving them significantly out of pocket.
Moira reached breaking point when the hotel merely offered her and Celia half the payment they were due, sparking fears about her agricultural future.
“Every day is a struggle and now this. Maybe I should just tap out before I’m knocked out,” she confessed.
Later, Celia turned up at Home Farm, where it emerged that she’d been covertly collaborating with Joe to secure six months’ free rent, plus the chance to lease additional land.
“Wait, you’re using Celia to get to Moira?” Joe’s gobsmacked girlfriend, Dawn (Olivia Bromley), questioned.
On Wednesday (August 20), Moira visited Joe and agreed to sell Butlers Farm. She also agreed to continue working on the farm and paying rent to Kim, but Joe is planning to kick her off the land in the future.
To celebrate his business deal, Joe cracked open a bottle of Champagne and confessed his plans for the farm to Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham), who later asked to speak to Moira.
Taking to X, one person wrote: “#Emmerdale why doesn’t Moira open a farm shop?”
A second asked: “Why hasn’t Moira got a farm shop? She should watch Clarkson for ideas #Emmerdale.”
A third explained: “Moira sells Butlers behind their backs to Robert. Then Robert starts diversifying up at Butlers with Alpacas, goats, other animals, holiday cottages, a wedding venue, etc.
“Meanwhile, I do have the idea that Annie’s Field should become the site of a farm park called Granny Annie’s with like play equipment and potentially a farm shop, as Robert becomes a farmer/businessman.”
“Yes I completely agree I would also love for them to diversify with gets some alpacas and goats”, added another.
