Despite all of the good times, The Queen Vic has been the very place of some shocking moments for Linda, including when she stabbed Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) in the back with a meat thermometer and killed him.
Linda has also been grappling with alcoholism, and while she remains sober, working behind the bar is proving to be too tough. The landlady also desperately misses Mick following his disappearance at sea on Christmas Day in 2022.
On Tuesday, Linda finally packed up her belongings and, having been handed tickets for a cruise by mum Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe), she waved goodbye to Albert Square.
Elaine had sorted out a nifty agreement with Kat that will see the families swap homes during the changeover. She told Linda that once she returned, their affairs would be in order.
The mum and daughter were emotional as they looked up at the pub and spoke about Mick, along with starting new chapters in their life as a family.
Linda also told newcomer Oscar Branning (Pierre Moullier) that her daughter Annie Carter is his half sister as they share the same dad, Max Branning (Jake Wood).

Meanwhile, across the Square, there was panic from Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) after the schoolgirl discovered she was pregnant at 16 years old.
While her dad Ravi (Aaron Thiara) was preoccupied at the police station following his arrest for drug dealing, Avani’s mum Priya (Sophie Khan Levy) was also hellbent on ensuring Ravi was released.
With no one to turn to, Avani met up with her pal Barney Mitchell (Lewis Bridgeman) at café for support, where she confirmed her plans to have an abortion.
Barney encouraged Avani to think about her decision and the teenager later confided in her grandmother Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal).
Suki urged Avani not to get a termination behind the back of the baby’s dad, Joel Marshall (Max Murray), and explained the family would find out eventually about her pregnancy.
“Yeah I can, I’m 16, It’s my body and I don’t need anyone’s permission”, Avani stated before storming off and leaving Suki sitting at the dining table in shock as the episode ended.
Despite all of the teen pregnancy drama, some EastEnders fans were disappointed that Linda didn’t get the famous ‘doof doof’ moment as her exit from the pub marks the end of an era.
Taking to X, one fan wrote: “I think Linda should have got tonight’s Doof Doof… It’s the end of an era! #EastEnders.”
A second echoed the sentiment and wrote: “Linda should have got the doof doof. #EastEnders.”
A third chimed in: “Linda was robbed of today’s doof doof #EastEnders.”
“Have a big issue with the Ben Wadey era’s choice of doof doofs like today’s one and yesterday’s ones felt so out of place, and this isn’t the first time I’ve noticed it either. today’s doof doof should’ve been Linda’s #eastenders”, explained another.
Although some viewers disagreed as referring to Suki, one person stated: “What A Formidable Character. Fully deserves today’s doof doof after the scenes so far this week #EastEnders.”
