Coronation Street Soap Scoop! Fears grow for Todd
Coronation Street has confirmed a devastating outcome for George Shuttleworth following his day in court, with the funeral director potentially having to face the music sooner rather than later.
The beloved character has been fighting to save his business in recent weeks, with the situation spiralling after a customer launched a smear campaign against him. Theo Silverton, the abusive partner of George’s colleague Todd Grimshaw, has also contributed.

This culminated in a day in court, with today’s episode of the ITV soap beginning as Christina Boyd and Glenda attempted to calm George before he faced the judge. He also bumped into Todd, who apologised for his words from the previous night.
George attempted to dissuade Todd from moving to Belfast with Theo, though Todd assured him that he was fine. George shared that he would always care about Todd despite his words, with the pair seeming on good terms as George headed to the trial.
As George, Glenda and Christina awaited the judge, they caught a glimpse of Adam Barlow, with Christina branding him a “snake” for how he had gone against George during proceedings.

The judge eventually read out the verdict, and it wasn’t a good one for George. The judge ruled against him and declared the latest version of the will to be invalid, all while ordering him to pay legal costs for both parties.
The trio headed to the Rovers following the trial, with Todd arriving to offer his condolences at the verdict. Despite being nervous at the prospect of angering Theo by not returning home, Todd stayed for a drink.
Todd got a verbal lashing from Theo when he returned home, but he was evidently still worried about George. Following his defeat in the trial, will he have to sell the business to remain afloat?
