Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) and Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) face another problem with
money in Coronation Street soon.
Scraping by each day is something Gemma and Chesney have done for years. While both parents work,
they also look after Joseph (William Flanagan) and the quads, so using their spare money to allow themselves luxuries isn’t something that happens often.
In upcoming episodes of the ITV soap, focus once again turns to money as Gemma and Ches tell Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) that the boiler is beyond repair and they’re waiting for the landlord to fit a new one.
When the landlord eventually arrives, he insists a second opinion is needed.
In the week, unable to receive an update from the landlord about the boiler, Chesney tells Gemma that he’ll look into installing an electric shower as they’re far cheaper than a boiler.
However, when Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown) then approaches, she informs Gemma that her landlord could be fined for failing to carry out essential repairs if she was to report him.
Just as Joseph then returns home from school by his friend Olly’s mum, Chesney gets more bad news and is gutted to realise his son has made out he runs a successful catering empire.
But what will the future hold for the family if the landlord continues to be challenging?

Back in April, new pictures saw Dolly-Rose Campbell filming as Gemma in a children’s shoe shop. She will swipe running shoes from the store as she can’t afford them for her daughter.
The crime will put her future at risk as she could land another police record just months after social services were sniffing around over her suitability to look after Joseph.
For a long time it was feared that she and Chesney might lose Joseph after several incidents – and hospital visits, but Gemma was eventually vindicated as the lad was genuinely ill with Lyme disease.
