Coronation Street fans have made a huge prediction about what’s ahead for George Shuttleworth after Theo Silverton was seen carrying out his latest dastardly move.
Viewers of the ITV soap have had it made it clear that Theo’s control over his former partner Todd Grimshaw won’t be coming to an end anytime soon despite their split
As those who follow Corrie know, Todd has been suffering at the hands of Theo, who has been abusing his partner, both physically and emotionally, as well as controlling him, from who he spends time with to his finances.
But earlier this week, after Theo’s birthday ended in the abuser grabbing a knife and pointing it towards Todd, the pair seemingly called it quits. During Wednesday’s (March 11) episode, Todd and Theo had an awkward meeting in the street, before George Shuttleworth’s plans to cheer Todd up in the pub were scuppered by Theo also having a drink with Gary and Maria.
Eventually speaking in the Rovers back yard, Theo told Todd: “Even though we’re not together, I really hope we can still be friends. We were engaged, you know? And as close as we were, and as much as we meant to each other, we can’t carry on as if we’re strangers, can we? Or avoid being in the same room.”

Playing in Todd’s emotiona, he continued: “You know, the funny thing is, even though we loved each other so much, and we were so in love, I sort of feel like you never knew the real me,” he adds. And that’s my fault. It’s mine, not yours. I just want you to know that you will always have a place in my heart, Todd. Even though I know we’re better off apart.”
But later, after Todd had a few too many and was walked home by James Bailey, viewers saw Theo obsessively tracking Todd’s movements via his phone, before watching him from across the street in his van.
In Thursday’s (March 12) follow-up episode, Theo overheard George and Summer Spellman discussing the fact that James Bailey spent the night at Todd’s flat, but not knowing he had slept on the sofa. Theo pretended he wasn’t bothered and while George said nothing had happened between the pair, it wouldn’t matter now Todd is single.

With George’s comments ringing in his ears, at Speed Daal, Theo becomes interested when Gary mentions the woman Adam Barlow was speaking to was Annie, the person accusing George of fraud. Heading over, Theo told Annie: “George Shuttleworth? It’s been on the cards for a long time, that scandal!” before lying and telling her that George once “tried to rob” him of his inheritance after his mother-in-law died.
And the scenes left Corrie fans flocking to social media with their thoughts. @WhoPotterVian said: “Just when you thought you couldn’t hate Theo anymore, he spins lies to make things worse for George. Can George bury Theo in a coffin soon please? #Corrie.” @SwainsCoat commented: “The way this George storyline has gone, it’s opened up either him or Christina being the potential suspects for Theo’s downfall.”
