Another of Nicola Mitchell’s (Laura Doddington) secrets is revealed in upcoming scenes on EastEnders, leaving Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian) fuming.
With the family already reeling from the bombshell news that Nicola had killed son Harry Mitchell’s (Elijah Holloway) pregnant girlfriend, Nicola’s been struggling to keep control of her life and family.
What poor dead Shireen Bashar took to the grave was the information that Barney Mitchell (Lewis Bridgeman) isn’t Teddy’s biological son.
Born of a fling between Nicola and Zack Hudson (James Farrar), Barney’s true parentage has been a source of much consternation for the Mitchell mum.
With Zack desperate to get to know the son he never knew he had, Nicola has had her work cut out keeping the secret buried – first having him beaten up, and then threatening the lives of him and his ex, Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty).
As the truth about Barney’s parentage is suddenly revealed, a wrathful Teddy demands answers. But even worse is in store when Zack puts a plan into action…

Still planning on fleeing Walford with Barney, Zack goes to Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) to ask for a loan.
Ravi warns him not to underestimate Nicola, telling him how she recently asked him to help move a body.
Later, Zack confides in Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), who urges him to go to the police about what he’s learned. This he does, and Nicola is subsequently arrested.

Meanwhile, seeing Harry’s reaction to his mum’s arrest, Zack reveals the truth about Barney’s paternity – hoping that Harry will help him to get Barney out of Walford.
However, when Nicola is released, Harry reveals the truth to a shocked Teddy – telling him that Zack is Barney’s biological father.
Nicola tries to deny everything, but is forced to come clean under the pressure of Teddy’s questioning.
As a painful confrontation unfolds, he and Nicola are left shocked when Harry then reveals that Zack plans to flee Walford with Barney.

Desperate to stop Zack from taking Barney, Harry bundles Harry into the boot of his car, before speeding away with him in the back.
Terrified for what Harry might do, Teddy finds Billy (Perry Fenwick) and Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton) with Nigel Bates (Paul Bradley) as they’re on the way to the cinema.
Demanding that they follow Harry, they set off in pursuit. Teddy is successful in catching up with his son before he can do something terrible.
However, things take a drastic turn when a car suddenly veers off the road, crashing into a nearby lake. The survivors attempt to save those trapped within the submerged vehicle… but can they do so in time?
