Hunter Brown Calls Another Man ‘Dad’

Kody Brown has had rough relationships with most of his adult children for years. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Sister Wives star implemented strict rules that alienated many of his children.

In Season 18, we saw some of Janelle’s kids finally make the decision to cut Kody out of their lives. Garrison Brown was most notably upset about the tumultuous relationship with his dad.

Now, his brother Hunter shocked fans by calling someone else dad on Instagram over the weekend. He posted two photos from a wedding he attended. In the caption, Hunter wrote, “Colorado with my Doctor and my Dad to celebrate our favorite new couple.”

Kody Brown was nowhere in sight in any of the photos. In fact, it didn’t look like any of the Sister Wives clan were in attendance. So, who was Hunter talking about? Fans took to the comments to express their confusion.

Several people pointed out that “Dad” is a more endearing term. “Just because Kody is his Father doesn’t mean he is his Dad. Any sperm donor can be a Father but a ‘Dad’ is someone very special,” one follower penned.

Sister Wives Express Confusion At The ‘Dad’ Joke

“I’m confused…” one person commented. Another person wrote, “I love how you throw everyone into a tailspin when you post this inside joke.” A third agreed, “Why are people so literal! Clearly it’s an inside joke.”

In some of the comments, it was explained that some people in the military might jokingly call a higher-ranking officer “dad.” Hunter Brown graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in April 2020. He was in the top 10% of his class.

“He is a military guy,” one follower explained. “First of all so it maybe a higher ranking guy they jokingly call dad or it could even be the dad of the friend group. He’s not talking about Kody Jesus christ people.” Others pointed out that Hunter’s whole life doesn’t revolve around the TLC show.

This isn’t the first time the Sister Wives star has mentioned his “Doctor and Dad” in an Instagram post. Earlier this year, he shared several photos with the same men featured in the wedding post. The trio visited the United Kingdom together.

Fans expressed confusion in the comments of that post as well. Hunter actually responded to one of the comments, writing, “It’s a joke everybody.”

Either way, it looks like Hunter Brown is off having fun with his “Dad and Doctor” as Season 19 gets underway.
