EASTENDERS viewers spotted a major blunder on last night’s episode with Nigel Bates.
The long-running character made a dramatic return to Walford over the
Christmas period, leaving fans more excited than ever.
However, the most recent edition of the long-running BBC One soap, many who tuned in were left utterly puzzled.
Nigel (Paul Bradley) was sat in the laundrette in an intimate moment with Yolande (Angela Wynter).
He made a heartbreaking revelation as he confessed to his former neighbour that he had been diagnosed with early onset dementia.
Their conversation was then interrupted as his mobile phone rang out loud and it was Phil (Steve McFadden) calling.
But EastEnders fans noticed a blunder when it came to Nigel answering the call.
Although Nigel decided to ignore the call, he was apparently shown hitting the “answer” button on-screen.
A number of viewers took to X – formerly known as Twitter – as they pointed out the apparent continuity error.
“Anyone else notice Nigel clicked the accept call button?”, asked one viewer.
A second stated: “Well as Nige just answered instead of ending the call I guess Phil knows now too.”
