Coronation Street fans have noticed the absence of a major character in recent weeks, and their calls for his return seem to have been answered.
Viewers have taken to social media to question where Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) is, having not appeared on screen since March 7, 2025.
‘Where’s Adam Barlow May I ask? Last seen onscreen 7th March 2025. Somebody do something,’ one fan wrote on Twitter/X, while another said: ‘I’ve just realised something about Corrie. Where the hell has Adam Barlow disappeared to?’
Fortunately, he is set to return to our screens, with co-star Channique Sterling-Brown revealing that she had been filming with the actor when Metro caught up with her at the British Soap Awards.
‘Yesterday I had some scenes with Sam Robertson and we realised we hadn’t worked together in a while, considering so much crime hasn’t been going on!’ The Dee-Dee Bailey actress revealed.
It is good news for Adam Barlow fans, as it has been reported that actor Sam has signed a new contract that will cement his place on the cobbles until November 2026, according to The Sun.

Metro has reached out to Coronation Street for comment.
The actor first appeared in the role in 2004, taking over from young actor Iain de Caestecker.
He left in 2007, before returning to the cobbles in 2016, where he has remained ever since.

He has been a part of some massive storylines during his time on the show, including a tumultuous relationship with Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien), a reckless affair with Carla Connor (Alison King) and a stalking ordeal.
He was also at the centre of a whodunnit during the show’s 60th anniversary in 2020 when he was attacked by a mystery assailant, who was later revealed to be Faye Windass in a case of mistaken identity.
