Coronation Street has aired a mysterious phone call as Daisy Midgeley sought help after a big argument with Jenny Connor.
In tonight’s episode, Daisy and Daniel Osbourne discussed Jenny’s recent windfall and wondered how long she would keep them in the dark. Jenny offered Carla the £60,000 to repay some of her debt, but Carla suggested using the money for a business loan and demanded payment in full.
Later, Daisy reluctantly asked Jenny to take Bertie to the dentist, as she and Daniel both had conflicts in their schedule. During a call with the bank, Jenny became distracted and didn’t notice Bertie wandering away from her.
Luckily, Steve McDonald and Cassie Plummer found the missing child while at the Metcalfe house. Bertie had dropped his football in the hot tub and had fallen as he tried to retrieve it.

Daisy arrived and furiously pointed out that Bertie could have drowned, just like Jenny’s son Tom. “I cannot believe you let this happen, again,” she fumed, before taking the little boy to the hospital.
Back at the Rovers, Daisy explained that Bertie was okay but told Jenny she can’t be trusted around kids. “I mean, it is a mistake when it happens once,” she said, referencing her step-brother. “The exact same accident when they’re both under your care.”
After trying to deescalate the situation, Jenny finally revealed the truth about her son’s death. She said that it was Daisy’s fault as she had failed to watch Tom when asked, leading to him drowning.

Horrified Daisy denied responsibility but Jenny called her an unfit mother, adding: “It’s just as well you lost that baby!”
Later, Daniel tried to comfort Daisy about the argument, but Daisy wasn’t willing to let it go. Pulling out her phone, she made a mysterious call and asked for “help with something”.
The person on the end of the phone will soon be revealed as Daisy’s mother Christina Boyd, who is returning to the cobbles next week. Daisy and Christina will team up to play with Jenny’s emotions, scamming her with a fake online romance.
