What’s the difference between Kim and Joe Tate (Claire King and Ned Porteous) in Emmerdale? Kim’s actually got a heart.
I say this with surprise, because there was a time Kim really didn’t care about hurting other people in the village. Creating a new family at Home Farm with Will Taylor (Dean Andrews), Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley), Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) and their kids, along Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) and her son, is probably what made Kim mellow somewhat.
Whatever the reason may be, she’s now a bit more considerate of other people – something Joe lacks the ability to do.
Kim was summoned to the police station in this evening’s episode, curious as to what Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) wanted to tell her.
Emotional, Moira confirmed to Kim that she’d now like to sell her share of Butler’s Farm to her. Kim was immediately suspicious and wondered why Moira had suddenly changed her mind.
Moira refused to tell Kim her reason, so she stood up and said the sale wouldn’t happen if Moira cannot be honest.

She ended up changing her mind and revealed to Kim that she wants to sell because Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) has cancer, and the family needs to focus on him, not trying to save the farm from going under.
It broke Moira’s heart, but she had reached the end of the line. Kim really felt for Moira, but understood why she had come to the decision.
In a moving moment, Kim also told Moira that she’d ensure she still has access to Holly Barton’s grave on the farm.
When Kim returned home, Joe was surprised to learn that Moira had officially sold Butler’s. He immediately set about pouring some champagne for Kim, Graham and him, but Kim wasn’t in the mood to celebrate.
She revealed to a very smug Joe that Cain has been acting differently in recent weeks because he has cancer. Joe was shocked, but still focused on the win for Home Farm Estates. He raised a toast to the empire, but Kim lifted her glass and said they should toast to Cain instead, calling him a ‘force of nature’.
