Emmerdale star Georgia Jay has broken her silence on pregnancy rumours, confirming the happy news via social media.
Taking to Instagram, the Steph Miligan actor shared the news with delighted fans, who had already begun to suspect that the soap star was pregnant after spotting her growing bump on screen.
“As you’ve probably guessed, I’ve got some news to share,” Georgia penned alongside a black and white picture of herself cradling her baby bump.
She continued: “I know some of you have been wondering if you’ve been seeing a little bump on screen lately… well, it’s not your imagination… I’m having a baby!
“We’ve never been so excited and a little nervous all at once. Thank you for all the love and support.”

Fans also took to the comment section to congratulate Georgia, with one fan saying: “Congratulations.. I did wonder recently if your cardigan was covering something. Great news.”
“Congratulations wishing you all the best for parenthood,” penned another, while one fan said: “Lovely news congratulations! Will miss you on screens though.”

Georgia joined the soap last year as Caleb and Ruby’s daughter Steph. Since her arrival in the village, her character has been at the centre of a number of intense storylines.
Earlier this year, she found out that her grandfather Anthony Fox was actually her dad after he abused Steph’s mother Ruby when she was a teenager. Anthony was then murdered by Ruby and the death was covered up.
