Emmerdale returned to ITV with fresh insight into the villagers and the aftermath of Vinny Dingle’s (played by Bradley Johnson) attack. This came after he realised his online friend Mike, whom he met through a website for people questioning their sexuality, wasn’t actually an ally. Instead, Mike (Macaulay Cooper) revealed he recorded their conversation and threatened to tell Vinny’s fiancé, Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham), if he didn’t comply with the blackmail.

In Wednesday’s (August 13) episode, Vinny took his pent-up anger out on his pal Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah), who innocently teased him about following bride-to-be Gabby’s orders and jokingly told him to “man up”. Vinny snapped at him and attempted to attack his friend before twisting the truth to Gabby, who saw the fight and separated the pair. After witnessing their fallout, viewers quickly took to social media with a heartbreaking prediction about the husband-to-be. One anticipated: “Vinny’s gonna end up like his dad isn’t he?!” (sic)

Another viewer questioned: “Is Vinny going to be like this around every man now or just Kammy?”

“Vinny is acting all tough all of a sudden, should have done that to Mike Vinny, you wouldn’t be 10 grand down and you’d have the wedding ring,” remarked a third.
