Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) finds herself in a perilous situation in EastEnders next week, after passing out drunk in the play park.
Incident comes after a traumatic time at Walford Police Station, when she is strip searched for drugs.
The youngster lands herself in hot water after an attempt at cheering up her pal Lily Slater (Lillia Turner), who is grieving the loss of her father figure Martin Fowler (James Bye).
With Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd), the trio decide to bunk off school – but before long they’re caught in the act by Avani’s mum Priya (Sophie Khan Levy), who spots them eating burgers in McKlunkys.
Avani pleads with her mum not to say anything, and explains that their decision to take the day off has come with good intentions.
Priya is warmed by her daughters actions, especially after a difficult few months herself in the wake of grandfather Nish Panesar’s (Navin Chowdhry) death, and decides to turn a blind eye.
When the girls head to the park, they run into Avani’s former vape dealer Marvin – but he now wants them to purchase a much stronger substance.
The police spot the group and question why they’re not at school, with Marvin fleeing. As he darts off, a bag of drugs falls to the floor.

Suspecting that they have been handling the illegal products themselves, the officers take Avani, Lily and Amy down to the station for questioning.
As Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) and Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) arrive to collect their girls, nobody answers to help Avani and she is told that a body search is required to ensure she isn’t concealing anything else.
Horrified by the situation, she refuses to have an appropriate adult in the room and allows two female officers to strip search her.
Back at Albert Square, Jean tells a blissfully unaware Suki Panesar-Unwin (Balvinder Sopal) about the circumstances and she heads to be by her granddaughter’s side.
Avani is adamant that she doesn’t want to lodge a formal complaint, and would rather head home. She breaks down, and lashes out at her nearest and dearest.

The matter only worsens when Suki brands Priya a bad mum for allowing her daughter to skive off school.
At the end of a long day, Avani tells her family that she’s heading home – but actually sneaks off to the park again to be alone. With nobody about, she knocks back a bottle of vodka.
News spreads that she has gone missing, with parents Priya and Ravi (Aaron Thiara) rushing to find her.
When they reach Avani, she’s passed out on the ground.
Will Avani be ok?
