Sexual predator Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon) is in danger of being exposed by the bravest little lad on Coronation Street, Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan). Now she’s resorting to bullying to keep him quiet.
Like many abusers, Megan hides behind a veneer of respectability thanks to her job as a teacher at Weatherfield High, her career as an athletics coach and her boyfriend, Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard). This is all a smokescreen, so nobody suspects that she’s been grooming underage student Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale) into an illicit ‘relationship’ and is pregnant with his child.
The local paedophile might have managed to pull the wool over the eyes of Will’s family and the community at large, but there’s one Coronation Street resident who has seen her true colours.
Schoolboy Sam Blakeman became suspicious of the strange dynamic between Will and Megan when he discovered an incriminating tracksuit which the teacher claimed belonged to Daniel in Will’s possession. The pint-sized detective has made it his mission to prove to everyone what a monster Megan truly is.

However, Megan’s not afraid to fight back. Just like she used her authority as an athletics coach to manipulate Will, she’s been exploiting her position as a teacher to threaten Sam’s academic performance. Her constant belittling and psychological pressure have severely affected Sam’s wellbeing, leading him to use unprescribed Ritalin in a desperate attempt to fix his falling grades.
Desperate to catch the predator, Sam installed a hidden camera in Megan’s flat in the hope of recording their illicit relationship. Unfortunately, Megan discovered the camera and staged a fake conversation with Will to make their relationship seem innocent.
Now Megan’s turned the tables on Sam, accusing him of being a pervert for spying on her and threatening to call the police if he doesn’t back off.
Megan might have won for now. But she can’t keep her sordid secret buried forever, and the toll her torment is taking on Sam’s mental health just might end up giving her away in upcoming scenes, where Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) starts to worry that something is wrong with him.
When Sam is sick at the bus stop, a worried Leanne voices her concerns to his co-parent Nick Tilsley (Ben Price). She knows that Sam is stressed about his exams, but can’t help thinking there’s more to it.

Reaching a loose end, Leanne confides her concerns in the worst person possible – Megan. She voices her concerns. Megan assures her she’s worrying over nothing. But once Leanne’s gone, Megan assumes she’s alone flirts on the phone with Will… only for Leanne emerges from the bathroom. How will Megan talk her way out of this one?
Later, Sam calls at the flat to pick up his books. As Leanne heads out, Megan takes the opportunity to have another dig at him. Leanne shares her concerns about Sam with Daniel and apologises for interrupting his and Megan’s flirty phone call the night before.
Later, Leanne, Nick and Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) discuss Sam’s work regime and agree that he’s pushing himself too hard. When Megan cancels her date with Daniel, Leanne’s interest is piqued.
Seeing Sam down, Hope Stape rightly suspects that Sam is being bullied and urges him to stand up to whoever it is because bullies are cowards at heart. This galvanises Sam into action…
So he confronts Megan, who warns Sam that if he voices his ludicrous theory about her and Will, nobody will believe him. Taking Hope’s advice, Sam bravely asserts that he’s not afraid of her anymore.
Anyone else have the feeling that Megan’s not going to take this lying down?
