Coronation Street star Ryan Mulvey has said that his character Brody Michaelis and his accomplice Dylan Wilson have no clue what they’ve done as they’re set to be involved in a car crash.

With autumn round the corner and the nights drawing in, the ITV soap is making sure that temperatures continue rising and at the end of last month, they gave viewers a sneak peek at some of the sizzling storylines coming up on the cobbles in September.

They include troublemaker Brody and his pal, Dylan, as it was revealed that the teens have been enlisted in a car-stealing scheme by Carl Webster.

The dodgy half-brother of Kevin and Debbie Webster needs help with his car stealing scam and he enlists Brody and Dylan, with the soap confirming it comes with devastating consequences.

And in a snippet of what’s to come, a distracted Betsy, who is on the phone, is blindsided when a car quickly approaches behind her, driven by Brody, with Dylan his passenger.

Spoilers have since revealed that Betsy, who is celebrating her announces she’s off into town with her mates, her mum Lisa Swain quizzes her about her social life. Pointing out she’s no longer a little girl, the teen drops a bombshell, and reveals she slept with Dylan last night.

Later, in the precinct, Betsy leaves a voice message for Dylan and another for Lisa but before she can finish, there’s a loud crash as a stolen car hits something close by and Betsy lets out a scream.

With Corrie remaining tight-lipped on what happens next, it only known that as the next episode arrives, Lisa’s sent spiralling as she reels in shock after last night’s events.

Now, Ryan has teased more on what’s to come – and named two other Weatherfield residents who could be caught up in the drama. The actor told Inside Soap: “Even though they’re doing this quite drastic crime, they’re still having a petty argument between two teenagers.

“So they’re driving this massive car and still arguing about girls and stuff like that! That escalates – and you’ll see it in the episode… He continued: “First they’re having a great time. They drive past George and I think Fiz might be there as well.

“But obviously we have no clue [what’s happened] until later on in the episode. They’ve not been caught, but it’s definitely very dodgy information being told that it looks like Dylan’s been driving the car.

“So I think both of them are absolutely terrified of the idea of being found out. Brody definitely plays it cool and thinks they’re going to have to carry on like normal. You have to carry on with life, or you’re just going be caught.

“Where Dylan’s definitely the opposite! So it’s like chalk and cheese, doing the scenes where Dylan is so terrified and he’s so anxious. Brody’s like: ‘Ah, just relax mate. What are you doing that for?'”
