Coronation Street has brought back the action to an old location that hadn’t been featured on the show for over a year.
While the outside of The Kabin is seen regularly on the show, it’d been a while since we last were inside. Before today’s episode, the iconic location was last featured in January 2024.
In today’s scenes, Jenny Connor, who currently works at the store, enlists George Shuttleworth’s help to fix a leak at The Kabin. George managed to stop the leak, ending up with his white shirt soaking wet.
As Jenny compared him to Colin Firth’s Mr Darcy in the lake scene of the 1995 Pride and Prejudice miniseries, could there be a new romance in the air?

If this is the case, George better hurry up and make a move as Jenny is set to leave the Street soon. Star Sally Ann Matthews confirmed her exit last week after returning as Jenny for a 10-year stint.

“I was supposed to stay for five months but ended up doing an extra ten years because I loved it so much!” she said when announcing the departure on her Instagram.

“It’s time though to play those parts I always hoped I would when I’d ‘grown up’,” she added.
“Thanks Trafford Wharf Rd for the memories and endless laughter x”
She first appeared on the cobbles in 1986, playing Jenny until 1991. She then returned for a brief stint in 1993 before reprising the role in a more regular capacity in 2015.
