A beloved Coronation Street actor has been tipped for a spot on this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain) has been a staple on the cobbles since his first appearance way back in 2006, along with his twin sister Asha (Tanisha Gorey).
Initially played by Zennon Ditchett, Adam took over the role in 2020 – and it’s fair to say Aadi’s been involved in some serious drama. Especially at the moment, as last month he accidentally spiked Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) while at a party.
Then, in a bid to clear money issues he had since looking after his dad Dev’s (Jimmi Harkishin) business, Aadi ended up orchestrating a fake robbery.
Dev eventually found out and was left livid, so much so that he demanded him to leave the cobbles to live in India. Realising it’s time for him to start a fresh, Aadi eventually agrees and decides to leave the cobbles.
Fans have been preparing for Aadi’s exit since April, when actor Adam Hussain confirmed that he had left the ITV soap.
Taking to Instagram, he shared: “Over the five years I’ve spent there, I have learned so much about the world and the industry and now feel I am ready to spread my wings a little.”
And now, actor Adam is being tipped for a spot on a major reality show. Bookies Betway are convinced he will head into the I’m A Celebrity jungle later this year and spokesperson Mike Reading told us: “Adam Hussain looks set for a brand new adventure beyond Coronation Street.”
He explained: “With the I’m A Celeb lineup still firmly under wraps, we have priced him up at 7/1 to swap the Rovers Return for bugs, rice, and beans.”
A stint on a rival soap could be happening too for Adam, as the bookies have chalked up odds of 12/1 and 6/1 Adam to appear on Hollyoaks and EastEnders respectively.
