The following article contains spoilers from an episode of Coronation Street that hasn’t aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX.
Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) has been left fighting for his life after getting hit by a car in Coronation Street.
It was simply a case of wrong place, wrong time for Ty, as he only fell victim to the hit and run due to the vehicle swerving to avoid hitting Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin).
In the car responsible for this ordeal were Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) and Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey), who were only in the vehicle in the first place because they had agreed to help Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) with his plan.
The teens sped past George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley), who briefly registered that Dylan was driving. They ended up at the precinct and spotted Betsy, who was wandering down the road on the phone to her mum.

Betsy screamed before we could see who Dylan actually hit. When we returned from the ad break, Carla Connor (Alison King) and Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) were racing to the scene after discovering what had happened.
Paramedics had arrived and were already tending to the man on the floor. Carla walked over and to her horror, realised it was Tyrone.
Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) and Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) raced to the hospital with the children after being told. They were informed by a member of staff that Tyrone was having a scan to check for internal bleeding.
The family, including Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) and Roy Cropper (David Neilson) were forced to wait for an update for quite a while. Just before the instalment ended, another member of staff approached Fiz.
She was incredibly worried – but what does the future hold for Ty now?
We’re going to have to wait until later in the week to learn exactly what happens next for Tyrone but given how bad he looked when Carla saw him, suffice to say a long road lies ahead for this family.

And what about the other people involved?
Will Dylan and Brody confess to being responsible for putting Tyrone in hospital?
Up until this point, life for Tyrone has been relatively quiet. Last month, the latest family drama saw him walk in on Cassie and Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) in a passionate embrace, completely naked!
The biggest development for him in recent years was the arrival of his young son Dorin.

A return to Manchester for Alina Pop (Ruxandra Porojnicu) saw Tyrone discover that she was pregnant when she departed the cobbles in 2022.
This news was hard for Fiz to get her head around, but she eventually decided to support Tyrone as he got to know little Dorin.
