In The Rovers, Sarah and Daniel celebrate Bethany’s new job. When Bethany takes Daisy aside and produces the positive pregnancy test she found in her designer handbag, Daisy’s mortified. Assuming Kit to be the father, Bethany wishes Daisy well.
As Jenny hosts a lunchtime quiz in the Rovers, Daisy’s stressed out by Kit and Daniel’s presence. When Bethany reveals that she and Daniel have set a wedding date, Daisy sees red, what will she do?
Jenny finds Daisy doubled up in pain in the back room and insists on taking her to hospital. Kit turns up at the hospital and Daisy invites him to stay for the scan.
Meanwhile, Lauren keeps vigil by Frankie’s hospital bed. In the courtroom the barristers deliver their closing statements to the jury. When Dee Dee calls and tells Lauren that the jury can’t reach an agreement, Lauren is worried it is a bad sign.
With Lauren’s fate in the jury’s hands there is nothing more she can do. She returns to the court for the verdict.
Elsewhere, Leanne arrives in the Bistro and helps herself to a bottle of wine, spotting Debbie storming out after a row with Ronnie, Leanne invites herself to join Ronnie and orders another bottle from a disapproving Toyah. Drunk Leanne drapes herself over Ronnie and flirtily suggests they have some fun. But she’s aghast to realise Sam has entered the bistro and witnessed her behaviour.
Also today, at the police station, David’s surprised to bump into Andy, a fellow former prisoner who insists they swap numbers. At No.8, Shona’s shaken when Lily hands over a piece of paper a man in the precinct gave her to pass on to David.
Shona hands David the note from Harvey demanding an extra £10k in interest. David’s spooked to realise Harvey’s cronies knew who Lily was. David and Shona make a pact to keep tabs on the kids at all times.
Finally, Adam and Alya find Cassie home alone at No.1 and ask why she’s there while Ken’s out. Cassie explains she was cleaning Ken’s bedroom but once they leave, she pulls Ken’s credit card out of her pocket before covertly replacing it later on.
