Coronation Street fans who may have wondered where Will Driscoll’s mum is in the ITV soap have had their questions answered. Since the Driscolls arrived on the show, Will’s mother has not featured onscreen, even during his harrowing grooming storyline.
Will has been abused by his coach and teacher, Megan Walsh, with Sam Blakeman informing his stepmum, Leanne Battersby, about it to ensure justice is served.
The Battersbys and the Driscolls have banded together in a bid to make Megan face the music, but with no concrete proof she has done anything illegal, they have hit a brick wall, especially with Will unwilling to turn on the women he believes he loves.

The storyline took another turn when it was revealed that Megan was pregnant and unwilling to take a DNA test, heavily suggesting her guilt over the prospect that the child could be Will’s.
As emotions continue to run high, it was revealed in tonight’s episode that Will’s mum is now aware of what has happened to her son.
The episode began with Will calling Megan, asking why she wasn’t returning his calls and saying he “doesn’t understand” why he is being ignored, and he assured her that he loves her.

Later, Will’s father, Ben Driscoll, called a family meeting with stepmother Eva Price and grandmother Maggie Driscoll to discuss the fact that Megan is refusing to take a DNA test.
When Maggie confronted Will over lying about who he was in a hotel with, he accused his ex-girlfriend Chloe of lying because she was upset they had broken up.

Will leapt to Megan’s defence, causing Maggie to lose her temper and call Megan a “witch,” which caused Will to storm out.
After questioning what he should do as he believes Will won’t ever tell the truth, Ben revealed that he has confided in Will’s mum, Melanie, about the grooming and Megan’s pregnancy.
During the phone call, he said she should not cut her holiday short and assured her it is being dealt with. But it ended in an argument, with Ben saying he will get Will to call her.
With this revelation, it could mean that the final member of the Driscoll family will be arriving on the cobbles as part of this explosive storyline to support her son through the trauma.
The episode ended with Ben breaking down in Eva’s arms, wishing that he had done more to protect his son. Will anyone be able to show Will the extent of Megan’s crimes?
