When Keanu’s death aired, Walters stated that it had been “extremely difficult” keeping the truth secret.
“I feel like I’ve been very deceitful to my friends and my family (laughs) and have made many excuses!” he said. “But, I wanted the storyline to have as much impact as possible for the audience.”
The actor also revealed that he kept Keanu’s mechanic overalls as a memento from his time on EastEnders.
