Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon has shared a fresh baby update with fans after the pregnant star was
seen celebrating her impending arrival at her baby shower.
Over the weekend, the actress gathered her nearest and dearest for the special occasion, which was held
at The Shankly Hotel in Liverpool. In a post shared with her 587,000 Instagram followers, the mum-of-
two-to-be revealed that she “felt so lucky” to be able to mark the milestone in such a way.
It comes after Lucy, famed for playing Bethany Platt in the ITV soap, announced over the summer that she and her footballer boyfriend Ryan Ledson were expecting baby number two with an adorable that featured their first child, son Sonny Jude. They later confirmed their second child would be a baby girl
Sharing a glimpse inside the special occasion, in one snap, Lucy could be seen placing a protective hand on her blossoming baby bump as she looked gorgeous while posing in a burgundy maxi dress with off-the-shoulder detailing which she wore with a pearl necklace and accessorised with a beaded clutched bag that was personalised with her name.
She posed alongside the sign welcoming guests to the event, which read: “Welcome to Lucy’s Slaybe shower,” with a simple but beautiful pink ribbon design. Lucy was also joined by one-year-old Sonny at the event, with the pair seen enjoying the music from Owen Brown, an acoustic singer from Liverpool.
Lucy was also joined at her baby shower by Corrie co-stars Charlotte Jordan, Tanisha Gorey, Channique Sterling-Brown and Paddy Bever, who fans will know for playing Daisy Midgeley, Asha Alahan, Dee-Dee Bailey and Max Turner on the cobbles.
Captioning the post on Instagram, Lucy wrote: “Celebrating our little girl. Ihave never felt so lucky. Thank you to @hair.bylea_ and @glambysuzie for being the best and to @ledigo_events for putting on the best baby shower. so grateful for you all.”
Since then, Lucy has returned to social media to share how she’s getting ready for her little girl’s arrival into the world. Sharing a picture to her Instagram Story, fans could see the soap star’s gorgeous Christmas tree glistening to one side of the photo while next to it was a cosy teddy bear fleece-style baby chair.
Alongside the post the Blackpool-born 29-year-old simply wrote: “Getting real,” before she later returned to the platform with a picture of Sonny already making use of the chair which she captioned: “Alrighty then!”
It comes after Lucy recently appeared to be thinking about the reality of having two children. Last month, she shared a photo from Sonny’s first Easter when he was a baby, in which she could be seen looking at something in surprise, she wrote on her Instagram Story: “Can’t believe that I will be responsible for 2 of these. 2023 me can’t believe it either.”
