Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter) has been left devastated after life partner Patrick (Rudolph Walker) postponed their wedding in EastEnders.
With the truth surrounding Oscar Branning’s (Pierre Moullier) botched burglary now out in the open, the Trueman-Fox clan have been divided.
Patrick still hasn’t fully recovered from the shock of being knocked unconscious and then being duped into a false friendship with the teen, and with his family arguing over what was in his best interests, it’s no surprise that his fuse has blown.
Denise Fox (Diane Parish) supported her partner Jack Branning’s (Scott Maslen) decision to let sleeping dogs lie, while her sister Kim (Tameka Empson) supported Patrick’s son Anthony (Nicholas Bailey) with his belief that Oscar should serve time behind bars for the crime.
Yolande remained firm – although she thought speaking to the police was the best idea, she wanted Patrick to make that decision.
Meanwhile, Howie Danes (Delroy Atkinson) was left guilt-ridden, knowing that he’d blackmailed Oscar into handing over Patrick’s betting shop winnings for his own financial gain.
Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) warned that if he went to the cop shop, she would spill to the family about his devious behaviour. Of course, that meant Howie had to support Denise and Jack in their argument, which caused Kim’s eyebrow to slowly rise.

Ultimately, Oscar was brought in for questioning. He resigned himself to being sent back to young offenders – until Patrick dealt a surprise card.
He had decided to drop any charges, following some advice from Howie. Oscar was allowed to walk free, but the consequences for Patrick remained ever present.
Patrick makes a huge decision
For Yolande, the wedding is more than just an opportunity to dress up nice and throw a party.
The engagement period has signified a turning point in her life, that allowed her to step forward and begin to heal after being sexually assaulted by vile church Pastor Clayton (Howard Saddler) last year.
She and Patrick faced one of the most challenging periods of their lives in the aftermath, as he wondered whether they would ever be able to have the same level of intimacy again.

While Patrick was able to assist Yolande through her crisis, it seems like he’s hit a similar brick wall, feeling like he’s changed as a person as a result of his recent turmoil.
In tonight’s episode, Oscar headed round to the house – despite another warning from Anthony to steer clear – armed with a bottle of whiskey.
Surely Patrick’s favourite tipple would win him around?
On this occasion, no. Patrick set the record straight and said although he didn’t want to see Oscar in any more legal issues, he couldn’t look past the fact he’d been made to look like a fool.
‘I’m not the man I was,’ he explained.
‘I can’t move on.’
As his bickering family set aside their differences, Yolande asked whether her fiancé was ready to get back into the swing of wedding planning.
To her surprise, he replied: ‘You all want what’s best for me, right? So you’ll understand if I say I want to postpone the wedding.’

The floor fell from beneath her feet, but unlike the rest of the clan, she said understood his decision. That didn’t stop her from feeling deeply pained, and needing an escape.
She went out to buy some food, but used it as an opportunity to sit down with Denise and Kim, and a large glass of wine.
Yolande explained that she needed time to rediscover her strength in the wake of her ordeal with Clayton, and now Patrick has to do the same.
