Victoria Sugden’s (Isabel Hodgins) life is crumbling around her as her brother and brother-in-law fight for their lives and her other brother faces attempted murder charges in Emmerdale.
Vic has very much tried to play the middleman between her two warring brothers, John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) and Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley).
She’s tried hard to bring them both together but has mostly found herself pushing back on Robert’s blatant hatred for village favourite John.
She’s backing the wrong horse though, with John being a cold-blooded killer and Robert being right on the money.
Things had seemed to settle lately, with Vic and Robert joining forces and funds and going into business with Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) at Butlers. With John leaving town for a fresh start too, everything seemed to be calming down.
But then John went and shot Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb), Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) finds out, Robert goes to save Aaron, and all hell breaks loose.
While the village tries to figure out where Mack and co are, John calls the police to blame Robert for murder, then jumps into a ravine with Aaron in his arms.

Back in the village, Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) reveals his deep concerns for John’s welfare to Victoria. Worried, she immediately grabs her phone and tries to call him, then urges Paddy to help her search – with no idea how bad things really are.
She’s in for a terrible shock when she learns that unhinged John pulled Aaron into a gorge with him and they’re both left lifeless. Although the story she hears is that Robert did it after John called the police to frame him ahead of the jump.
As the village reels at this development, the Dingles are in bits. With Robert looking like the guilty party thanks to John, Victoria is guilty by association. Robert is left waiting to be interviewed at the police station believing his soulmate to be dead.
Having recently struck up a business deal with Moira, this new development threatens everything Victoria has planned and invested.
She finds herself on the wrong side of Cain (Jeff Hordely), who confronts her and vows that they want nothing more to do with the Sugdens.
Just like her brothers, her dream appears to be dead.
Vic is left shattered as Moira agrees. Her life is in pieces as she’s set to lose her business and all her family in one fell swoop.
