EastEnders viewers have been left heartbroken as Eve Unwin (played by Heather Peace) decided to leave her wife Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) resulting in an emotional farewell.
In recent episodes of the popular BBC soap, Suki has been encouraging young Avani to continue with her pregnancy, intending to raise the baby alongside Eve.
The shocking pregnancy news was kept hidden from Avani’s parents and rebellious teen Joel Marshall (Max Murray) who is the father of the child.
However, following an abortion, Avani confessed everything to her parents Ravi (Aaron Thiara) and Priya (Sophie Khan Levy), leaving them outraged.
On Wednesday (August 13), chaos ensued as Suki faced the anger of her family when secrets began to come to light. Priya explained the situation to Vinny (Shiv Jalota) and Nugget (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury), expressing sadness that her daughter hadn’t confided in her about the pregnancy, reports Plymouth Live.
The drama intensified when Avani revealed that Suki had suggested they wait for the right time to inform the family – leading Priya to realise that Suki intended to delay until it was too late for an abortion.
As tensions rose, Priya slapped Suki and Ravi likened her actions to those of the villainous Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) towards his own family.
Eve defended Suki, but once they were alone, she implored her wife to stop deceiving her and got Suki to confess that she would have prevented the termination if she’d known.
Later in the episode, Eve, Vinny, and Nugget gather their belongings and the entire family vacates the house.
An emotional Suki pleads with Eve not to abandon her. However, Eve decides she needs some space, deeply hurt by the deceit and manipulation surrounding the baby plan.
EastEnders fans are now crossing their fingers that this isn’t the final curtain for Suki and Eve, considering they only tied the knot in January.
