Coronation Street star Scott Anson has confirmed that his “very last” episode as Reece Bolton has aired.
Reece was introduced to Corrie in late 2022 as part of the far-right gang led by evil Griff Reynolds, and was imprisoned in early 2023 following his role in planting a bomb at Weatherfield’s winter market.
He has since returned for brief stints for storylines involving his daughter Lauren, with his latest appearance coming in Wednesday’s episode (23 April) as Lauren paid him a visit in prison.
Prior to the episode airing, Anson took to social media to encourage fans to tune in, while also confirming it was his “very last” time playing Reece.
“Catch my very last ep as Reece Bolton @coronationstreet,” he wrote.

The episode saw Lauren visit Reece after he sent her baby a present, with the conversation turning to Lauren’s tough childhood and her dad’s failings to look after her.
She then warned Reece to stay away from baby Frankie, to which he took the opportunity to hurt Lauren with a shock bombshell.
“You do know I’m probably not your dad. We never bothered with the DNA or aught,” he snapped.
However, Lauren shrugged the news off and later had a heart-to-heart with Roy Cropper, telling him: “I think I’ll just pretend that you’re my dad if that’s okay with you.”

Meanwhile, Lauren fears she could be heading back to prison herself next week after she crashes Tracy’s van.
In tonight’s episode of the ITV soap, Tracy is about to catch Betsy vengefully destroying the contents of the florist van, causing Lauren to panic and set off in the vehicle.
Although Betsy takes the blame, next week’s episodes will see Lauren confide in Bobby that she’s responsible for the incident, and is unnerved to be receiving threatening text messages from someone who knows the truth.
