Emmerdale‘s Ella Forster is arrested in Thursday’s episode amid worrying fears that her dark side has returned.

Ella faces a furious backlash as Chas Dingle’s loved ones desperately seek an explanation for her recent collapse.

Chas suffered a funny turn at The Woolpack in Wednesday’s episode, falling to the ground and hitting her head.

When Chas was admitted to hospital, doctors discovered that she had excessive amounts of codeine in her system.

Chas has been taking medication after sustaining a nasty back injury in the recent limo crash disaster, but the alarming news from the doctors seemed to indicate that someone had been tampering with her pills.

In Thursday’s episode, Victoria Sugden provides a potentially incriminating clue.

Victoria reveals that she saw Ella lurking in The Woolpack back room during Chas and Liam Cavanagh’s recent engagement party.

Ella clashed with Chas during the gathering, as she seemed to be struggling over her ex-partner Liam moving on with someone new.

As the villagers become fixated on Ella’s possible guilt, Mandy Dingle is left in an impossible position as she’s torn between her friend and her family.

There’s also trouble for Ella’s other main friend Manpreet Sharma, who’s caught in the middle between Ella and Liam at the doctors surgery.

Ella is arrested by police as suspicion mounts, but is there any cast-iron evidence to link her to the crime? Or is she being made a scapegoat because of her dark past?
