Sister Wives star Meri Brown and her best friend Jenn feel absolutely horrified by Kody Brown’s comments on Sunday night’s new episode.

After hearing Meri’s confessional about dating, Kody flippantly said she would need to ditch her friends first. He added that no man would put up with them and even called them “b*tches.”

However, it seems Meri and Jenn learned about the shocking scene at the same time viewers at home did.

Meri Brown Didn’t Know About Kody’s Disgusting Comments

Immediately after the episode wrapped up, Meri and Jenn began devising a plan. They knew they couldn’t sit idly by and let Kody control the narrative once again.

Last night, they hosted an Instagram live where they shared their feelings and raw reactions to the episode. Fans learned quite a bit about Meri’s side of the story.

But sadly, the TLC star won’t get to share her thoughts on the tell-al

“Meri’s reaction to [‘ditch the b*tches’] will NOT be on the tell-all,” a Reddit user suggested on the platform after the new episode. “Just heard on her Instagram live, production did not tell her about Kody’s comments until way after the tell-all was filmed. She is not happy about it, needless to say. Said it makes her look bad, as if she just let that comment slide.”

Other Sister Wives viewers weren’t at all surprised about Meri’s reaction. Most agreed the production team betrayed her by leaving her in the dark. Others admitted they didn’t have much hope for the tell-all this year.

Redditors left comments including:

• “I just finished watching this episode and my jaw dropped when he said that. He looked so freaking evil.”
• “Well, apparently, we’re going to be watching another tell-all where Kody is protected from the hard questions.”
• “These ladies don’t really get much chance to respond to his outrageous statements in general and about themselves in specific. But I think most people are going to have a VERY negative view of his comments, even without Meri being able to respond on the tell-all. Even if you aren’t a Meri fan, you know that he went way too far and that something is really wrong with him.”
• “Shame on TLC. Why are they always protecting Robyn and Kody?”

Meri & Jenn Clap Back At Kody On Instagram

The Instagram live wasn’t Meri and Jenn’s only response to Kody’s harsh comments. They also made matching sweatshirts and announced they would launch a special tea-spilling account.

In the coming weeks, fans can almost certainly expect to hear the women shed light on Kody Brown’s horrendous behavior.
