EASTENDERS fans have spotted a second tragedy waiting to happen after a huge gas explosion tore through the Queen Vic.
Eagle-eyed viewers are convinced someone is going to get ‘squished’ after spying a big clue following last night’s cliffhanger.
Ian Beale was left lying on the floor covered in stones, glass and grit followingthe explosion on Tuesday night.
But as he got to his feet and looked up, the Queen Vic was shown engulfed in flames.
In a ‘blink and you miss it moment’, fans spotted a massive crack near the top right of the building, with part of the pub looking like it could smash to the ground at any moment.
As a result, viewers are now convinced one unfortunate soul is about to get hit with a pile of falling masonry.
Sharing a snap of the Queen Vic’s gaping crack on Reddit, one fan said: “Who will this.. land on/ squish?”
Replying, one EastEnders viewer said: “OH MY GOD final destination style! My guess is whoever Denise doesn’t choose?”
Another suggested: “It would be apt if Cindy got squashed after pushing Ian down in front of a speeding car.”
And someone else said: “Martin? Just after he saves Stacey who’s trapped in the ladies toilet, he will get her outside and out of harms way but will then be squished by this as he tries to go back in for Ruby.”
Tonight, the EastEnders the aftermath of the explosion will play out.
It will also follow through into Thursday night’s show, which will be a special live broadcast to celebrate EastEnders’ 40th Anniversary.
EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy hints Sonia Fowler will die in explosive live episode
After seeing a picture of the Queen Vic’s crack, some fans aren’t convinced the cast could pull off someone being hit by masonry live on air on Thursday.
“That’s far too dangerous a stunt to do in a live episode without it looking stupid,” one viewer suggested in the Reddit discussion.
Another agreed: “That is very true.”
The observation by EastEnders fans does not bode well for Sonia Fowler, who is played by Natalie Cassidy.
Natalie is leaving the soap after portraying the character for 30 years and she has dropped her biggest hint yet that Sonia will be killed off.
Heavily pregnant Sonia was inside the Queen Vic when her killer boyfriend Reiss accidentally crashed into the pub, setting off the huge gas explosion.
In an interview on The One Show, presenter Gaby Roslin asked Natalie about leaving the show.
She told Gabby: “I’m gonna miss everybody and I love it, I love it here but it is what it is. But yeah… see what happens.”
Fans think her response points to Sonia not coming out alive.
