Season 2 of Landman ended on a surprisingly happy note, but fans of Taylor Sheridan know that peace in his stories is always fleeting. When happiness lasts longer than a few moments, it’s often a sign that trouble is lurking just around the corner.
That’s why, unlike many viewers, I remain skeptical about the characters’ futures as we look ahead to Season 3.
The dynamic between Tommy and Cammy has been central since the beginning of Season 2. Cammy was determined to save the company, Mtex, even when it seemed impossible, while Tommy focused on saving the people from the sinking ship. Monty’s death deeply affected everyone, and as Nate pointed out in the finale, the company was never meant to survive without Monty.

Now, with Cammy losing everyone she trusts, she may finally realize how right Tommy and Nate have been all along. In Season 3, Cammy will likely learn about Tommy’s new company, and she might feel betrayed or isolated.
Despite her unpredictable nature and the pain she’s endured, if she seeks Tommy’s advice, he’ll surely help her, perhaps negotiating the sale of Mtex for the best price. If Mtex is sold, Cammy’s absence would be a loss for the show, as her character brings a refreshing energy, and many hope Demi Moore continues her role.
Tommy, meanwhile, has proven himself a savvy businessman. In the Season 2 finale, despite setbacks, he survived and pursued his vision—building his own company. He had Nate create an LLC for CT Oil Exploration and Cattle, then convinced Galino to invest $40 million. Galino, knowing Tommy’s reputation, was eager to partner, and Tommy promised quick returns.
The new company’s leadership is stacked: Cooper as president, Tommy as vice president, Nate managing finances, Rebecca as COO and chief counsel, Boss running the crew, Dale leading exploration, Thomas overseeing drilling, and Ariana managing the office. This “dream team” seems too good to be true, and in typical Sheridan fashion, things are unlikely to go as planned. The show’s co-creator, Christian Wallace, has hinted that the new family-like dynamic will bring fresh challenges.

Beyond business, Tommy and Angela’s decision to remarry means the chaotic couple will return to entertain us. Ariana and Cooper, who endured trauma and heartbreak in Season 2, will also get married, but their wedding may be tinged with tragedy.
Cooper’s act of saving Ariana—resulting in the attacker’s death—has drawn the attention of a powerful local businessman, who pushed detectives to charge Cooper with murder. Although the attacker died of a heart attack, the businessman’s vendetta could threaten Cooper’s future in both business and life. As a fan favorite, viewers hope Cooper’s story doesn’t end in disaster.

Now, for the release date: Landman was officially renewed in December 2025, with filming set to begin in April or May 2026. Previous seasons aired about six months after filming started, so a November 2026 release for Season 3 seems likely.

As we await the new season, questions abound: Will Cammy return? Will Cooper survive the threats against him? Will Tommy’s new company succeed, or will it crumble under pressure? The answers will unfold soon, and fans are eager to see what twists Taylor Sheridan has in store.
