General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is going to face some tough emotions once Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) faces a grim fate. Sam has good intentions

with this transplant, but we know she’s on her way out a sad exit door.

Since Sam is the love of Jason’s life and Danny Morgan’s (Asher Anytonzyn) mother, you can bet Jason will struggle once she’s gone.

Between watching Danny’s grief and coping with his own period of mourning, Jason will need someone to lean on.

Of course, it’s possible Jason and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) could start something up. However, many fans are hoping that Anna and Jason keep their word when it comes to putting that kiss in Africa behind them.

Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) seems to be well on her way to a Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) reunion, so it doesn’t look like Jason will end up back with her.

Who does that leave for Jason romantically? With Sam out of the picture, could that boost Jason’s chances of getting back together with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright)?

Although Carly is definitely feeling some sparks with Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure), Jason is wary of their connection. It’s clear that Jason is always going to be protective of Carly and put her above everybody else.

Carly will no doubt be drawn to Jason as he mourns the loss of Sam in the coming months. Jason may have a hard time knowing how to be there for Danny, but Carly will step up to help him in any way she can.

Could that put Jason and Carly on the road to a romantic reunion at some point? It’s easy to imagine Carly and Jason sharing a kiss or even landing in bed together if GH writers want to take things that way.

Jason and Carly were ready to share a life as a married couple back when they believed Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) was deceased. Perhaps Carly and Jason could eventually find their way back to each other for a new chapter.
