Lorna Laidlaw, who portrayed Aggie Bailey, has made a comeback to our telly screens.
The actress first graced the cobbles as Aggie in 2019, alongside the rest of the Bailey clan, marking the first regular Black family on the ITV soap.
Aggie was introduced with her husband Ed (played by Trevor Michael Georges) and son James (portrayed by Jason Callender), while her daughter Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown) arrived a few months later.
Nurse Aggie quickly became a hit with viewers and was involved in several major storylines, including her cherished relationship with Ed.

However, Aggie vanished from Coronation Street in June 2023 and seemed to drop off the radar, reports the Daily Star. It was later revealed that Aggie had gone to Birmingham off-screen to look after her ill aunt and wanted to divorce Ed.
Interestingly, there hasn’t been any mention of Aggie since, which fans find strange given her daughter Dee-Dee’s dramatic storylines over the past year.

However, fans have recently spotted Aggie’s actress, Lorna, making a TV return on Channel 5’s The Good Ship Murder earlier this year. In the show, Lorna played Suzie Carter and looked completely different from her soap character.
On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one person posted a photo of Lorna on The Good Ship Murder and wrote: “I guess Lorna Laidlaw is having more fun playing Suzie on The Good Ship Murder S2, E6 than Aggie Bailey. I recognised her voice before placing her from Coronation St.”

In other news, last year, Lorna made an appearance on a podcast where she finally opened up about her experience on the show.
The soap nurse also confessed that she wasn’t always pleased with how she and the rest of the Bailey family were portrayed. Her complaints included requests for specific accents, and a lack of on-screen chemistry between her and Ed Bailey (Trevor Michael Georges).
