Sister Wives Kody Brown has been making the interview circuit after the finale of Special Forces. One thing he continues to keep repeating is he has reached out to all of his 17 children (18, Garrison, passed). Kody has continuously blamed his wives for the estrangement and has thrown back any responsibility he accepted on the show.

Kody Brown Takes No Accountability After Special Forces

On one of Kody’s many promotional tours for Special Forces, the interviewer for FOX 5 New York Brown was asked about his reportedly bad relationships with his 13 older kids with ex-wives Meri, Janelle, and Christine Brown.

He replied, “I am only partly to blame. All of my children had a great relationship with me until the divorces.”

“When the divorces happened, the children were the victims,” Brown continued. “They had to pick sides and because of polygamy, they had closer relationships with their mothers.”

Leon Brown, who is also Meri’s child, shared the truth about Kody Brown, revealing the ‘Liar’ that they say he is. Leon stepped back from the show for several seasons but did do a special appearance after Garrison’s suicide on May 5th, 2025. Garrison was not on good terms with his dad or Robyn at the time of his tragic death. The Brown family had to get together for several memorials for Garrison.

Sister Wives viewers had not seen the whole family together in years. Garrison’s death forced them all together again.  Leon has been moved to speak out on what a “joke of a father” Kody is and also what a “liar” he is. Leon said there is a ridiculous video of Kody saying he reaches out to his children.

Leon said “Let me be so f**ing clear: i have not heard from that man since my brother killed himself. Leon added “He blatantly blew me off at garrsion’s funeral. he is a liar he is a joke of a father. that’s all” Leon’s partner, Audrey Kriss, even called out Kody on his fabrication of the truth on the Viall Files Instagram. Saying “Verifiably not true.”

The way that this man has just completely abandoned his children is so sad.

“Here’s this incapability to reconcile that they are not their mothers, and that’s just f*cked up. He could have put in the bear f*cking minimum, and his kids would have accepted it. But he didn’t.”
