Mon June 24, 2024: Today on Young and Restless, Victor encourages Katie and Johnny to welcome

Claire, while Nick and Nikki speculate about Victor’s true intentions

Meanwhile, Traci and Alan take the opportunity to deepen their acquaintance.

In Paris, Alan and Traci visit a bistro. Traci observes that Alan seems distracted.

He expresses his concerns, wondering if the locals might recognize him as his brother or mistake him for his brother.

Alan contemplates where Martin lived and the kind of people he associated with. Traci cautions him that what he discovers could be more unsettling than what he already knows.

Despite this, Alan is concerned that there might be people to whom he needs to apologize. Traci reassures him, reminding him that he is not his twin and that he needs to forgive himself.

Despite her reassurances, Alan remains troubled, unable to stop pondering what his brother was involved in and the potential hardships he might have imposed on Ashley.

There was a time when he shared everything with his twin.

Traci says he can share with her if he wants to. It’s the least she can do after all his kindness.

He thinks she’s so kind and understanding. She persists in telling him that none of this is his fault.

Losing someone who was with you your whole life is hard. Seeing his brother die still doesn’t feel real.

She reminds him that grieving is a process.

There drinks arrive and she tells him she’s been through a few things and written characters who were psychologists.

He’s been meaning to ask her about her novels. Why is he talking to a beautiful woman about his disturbed brother when he should be asking about her?

Alan gets her to talk about the glamor of growing up in the Abbott dynasty. She tells him about how she used to sing with Danny.

He’s impressed but she downplays it all. She explains that was a very freeing time in her life.

When her mother walked out on her and her siblings, it was her father who kept everything together.

After he passed, they’ve always had each other’s backs. Now, she’s worried she’s let her sister down.

Maybe she had some childhood trauma she’s never known about?

Alan says they can’t be sure it started in childhood. She could be a rare case where DID happened later in life.

They joke about having their own support group to keep optimistic.

He has faith that they will all get through this. He thinks Ashley is very lucky to have a sister like her.

Alan gets her to agree to another glass and she offers a raincheck for a song.

Alan walks Traci back to the apartment. She tells him about a trip she took to the Normandy coast and all the moules frites she had to eat.

He tells her how much it means to him that she’s decided to stay in the city.

In the ranch house, Victor tells his son that they are very proud of the man he’s become. Nick thanks this parents.

They get back to talking about Victoria.

Victor repeats that he doesn’t want her going to Newman Media.

His wife interprets this as meaning that what she wants is not important.

Her husband says this is not the case.

Putting Adam in her place is a big red flag to her.

This makes no sense. Nick agrees. Victor doesn’t get it.

Nick repeats that he should trust what Nikki wants.

Shaking his head, Victor declares this is not what he wants and that’s the end of the discussion.

He walks out.

At the tack house, Victoria, Johnny, and Katie make plans for what they can do as a family.

When Victoria brings up Claire, Katie says she needs to call some friends.

Her mom urges her to give her sister a chance.

Katie doesn’t know why Claire needs to be living with them.

Victoria says they can’t throw her out.

She knows she’s missing their house but it’s gone.

CBS

Johnny urges her to cut Claire some slack.

Victor shows up and tells the kids how much he’s missed them.

Katie tells him she misses her house.

He knows what it’s like to have your house burn down.

They rebuilt the ranch and created a new life.

CBS

He sits the kids down and tells them how nice Claire is.

All she’s ever wanted is a family of her own and a sister like Katie.

He can understand because he grew up as an orphan.

They all need to embrace Claire and make her part of the family.

Once the kids leave for a swim, Victoria thanks her father for what he said to Katie.

He’s sure that she just needs time to realize she has a wonderful big sister.

She asks why he doesn’t want her mom back at Newman Media.

He’s worried she will fall off the damn wagon.

CBS

Adam knows the company and can step in. He’ll be out when Nikki is back to normal.

He asks his daughter if she will come back to Newman.

She agrees to give it serious thought.

Nick and his mother go to Society.

She rails about his father moving in on her turf.

CBS

He admits that something is odd about his insistence that Adam take over.

They wonder if it could be about giving Adam a distraction from Connor.

But it doesn’t make sense.

He suggests they step back or his dad will grind them down.

It makes sense that he wants her to focus on her recovery.

She wants to get back to work.

Her son says that she’ll drive herself crazy if she tries to figure out what he’s up to.

Nick urges her to focus on her charities while Victor does what he wants.

If she wasn’t fighting for her sobriety, she would fight him on this.

At the GCAC, Audra prods Kyle to give an answer about working with her at Glissade.

He doesn’t trust and can’t work with her.

CBS

He was trying to be polite by not giving Victor an answer immediately.

She can’t believe he would turn this down out of spite.

He wonders why Victor thinks they should team up given their history.

CBS

Audra thinks he just respects them and she refuses to analyze this.

He thinks this is just about money and power for her.

Audra insists this could be a lucrative opportunity.

CBS

They can get everything they want and won’t have to answer to anyone.

Kyle assumes she is up to something. She pushes him to take a new opportunity.

He reminds her that they would not have control: Victor would.

Besides, he just doesn’t want to work with her. They can’t erase all the double-dealing they pulled on each other.

She asks what she has to do to change his mind.

Diane walks in and wonders why they have their heads together.

CBS

Audra claims that she’s made mistakes in the past and wanted to apologize to anyone she hurt in her Tucker era.

CBS

Diane doesn’t think there’s any “starting fresh” after Tucker and hints that Audra just seems desperate.

Once Audra exits, Diane asks her son what Audra wants him to “keep an open mind” about.

CBS

He tells her to ease up. She worries that Audra is trouble and shouldn’t be trusted.

Her son gets defensive and tells her to stop putting him in his place.

She accuses him of treating her with disdain.

CBS

He loves her but she can’t run his life. Diane feels like nothing is getting through to him.

Kyle accuses her of blowing things out of proportion but she thinks they need to revisit their working relationship when Jack gets back.

If he can’t get in line, he needs to be fired.

Smugly, Kyle asks if she really thinks she can get Jack to sign off on that.

CBS

She reminds him he’s been removed before and can be again. He’s had many warnings about insubordination already.

She’s put up with it hoping he would change and he hasn’t.

Victor arrives as she storms out and past him.

CBS

Victor swans over and asks Kyle if he’s still considering his offer. He’d hate for him to waste his talents at his current place of employment.

Kyle agrees it may be time to make a change.

CBS

They have a drink and toast. Victor is happy he’s ready for a change and can give Audra the support she needs.

Kyle hasn’t agreed yet. He has serious concerns about working with Audra. She’s a professional backstabber.

CBS

“Oh really? I’ll be damned,” says Victor.

Kyle offers to come on but only as the sole CEO of Glissade. What does he need Audra for if he has him?
