The August 19 episode of Days of Our Lives revealed who shot EJ, Rachel. (This is where Soap Hub goes: I told you so!) Of course, Rachel has never been called upon to take responsibility for any of the horrible things she’s done in the past. So why would that change now? Kristen will protect her precious baby girl, no matter what. And we know exactly where she’ll point the finger first.
Not Without My Daughter
The most important thing in the world to Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) is that she be seen as a good mother. Not that she actually is one, just that she’s perceived that way. In her eyes, as well as others’.
Kristen got her parenting skills from her own father, Stefano (Joseph Mascolo), who could justify any evil deed as long as he did it for “his family!” (Can you imagine him and Victor Newman [Eric Braeden] from The Young and the Restless having a who is a better/worst father-off?) Which is why we suspect Kristen won’t waste a second covering up for Rachel by framing another suspect. And who better than Ava (Tamara Braun) as the fall girl?
Justify My Love
Oh, sure, Kristen will say that it’s because Ava is currently in China, visiting Tripp (Lucas Adams) and Wendy (Victoria Grace), and as long as she doesn’t return to the States, she can’t be arrested, so, really, no harm done, right? Rachel will be safe, and no one will be punished.
Please applaud Kristen’s brilliance, and everyone else who loves Rachel, like Marlena (Deidre Hall), Brady (Eric Martsolf), Johnny (Carson Boatman), and even EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) himself. But we know that’s not the real reason.
The real reason is that, as much as Kristen wants to protect Rachel, she also wants to punish Ava for daring to date Brady. Brady is Kristen’s property. Forever. Regardless of how Brady feels about it.
