General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate that the Tuesday, January 21 episode offered plenty of bombshells.

Fans saw Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) talk to a very uncomfortable and pain ridden Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) about the long-term burn care treatment options he had at his disposal.

As fans know, Michael suffered third-degree burns when he got caught in the crossfire of an explosion at Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) penthouse.

Carly, along with Sonny, and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen), discussed treatment centers with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) when the three of them agreed that Michael should be woken up from his coma to make the final decision about where he wanted to go.

The two choices were a treatment center close to home or a cutting-edge facility in Germany.

In the end, Michael chose the German burn care facility, and Carly vowed to go with him and support him every step of the way.

As soon as Michael gave his treatment facility decision, he and Carly were off!

Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) not only secured a spot for Michael at the center, but he also organized a plane to fly Carly and her son to Germany, stocked with medical personnel to help cater to anything Michael needed.

As the Tuesday show marked Michael’s (and Chad Duell’s) final episode, many fans have been wondering where this leaves Carly.

After all, she made it seems as if she was going to stay with Michael during the long haul of his treatment, and fans know that this could take months – if not longer.

There’s been a buzz on internet regarding Laura Wright and Carly Spencer’s status with GH, in light of Carly going with Michael to Germany.

Interestingly enough, the actress recently hopped on the social media platform X to offer some insight.

X user, @Linda_E._Johnson, tagged Laura Wright on an X post asking if it was true that she was getting married and leaving GH for while? She also asked the actress that if she was leaving, would she come back?

Wright replied, “Nope not true at all,” while also posting a bit emoji of herself, shrugging her shoulders.

As most GH fans know, Wright is dating GH alum, Wes Rasmey, who once played villain, Peter August.

The two have been together for quite some time in real-life, but it looks like they are probably quite content with the current status of their relationship, and aren’t about to change anything by getting married.

General Hospital spoilers don’t seem to hint that Carly is going anywhere, as Port Charles is the home to all of her business ventures, and family – not to mention her two daughters that need her, Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy).

Carly will likely return from Germany at some point soon and may also share her time between PC and Michael’s facility, visiting him now and again.

However, in terms of an official exit, it looks like that’s fake news as Carly and Laura will be staying on the show for the time being.
