Since his arrival in prison in Coronation Street for his part in the death of Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan), Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) has been taken under the wing of one of his fellow prisoners, Brody (Ryan Mulvey).
Brody’s motives were not friendly, however, as it very quickly became clear that he was intent on exploiting Dylan’s naive nature for his own benefit. Teacher Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) has warned Dylan that Brody is bad news and he should steer clear of him, but Dylan ignored this advice.
It soon became clear that Brody was ready to manipulate both Dylan and his dad Sean (Antony Cotton), after he asked Sean to smuggle a burner phone into the prison, threatening him that he would make Dylan’s life a misery if he didn’t comply.
Sean asked Daniel about Brody later, and Daniel confirmed he was a serial offender and it would be dangerous for Dylan to cross him.
Sorry, this video isn’t available any more.
At first, Sean decided not to give Brody the phone he’d asked for and told Dylan he was going to report him. Dylan begged him not to report Brody, but couldn’t convince him to smuggle the phone.
In reprisal Brody and his mates wrecked Dylan’s room – and threatened him that there would be worse consequences if Sean didn’t come up with the phone.
In upcoming episodes a nervous Sean plants a phone in a glasses case in Daniel’s bag, knowing he’ll be taking it into the prison later.
He calls Dylan and lets him know where he can find the phone, and Dylan gratefully thanks him.

He goes to search Daniel’s bag to get the phone – but is caught red-handed by Daniel.
If he can’t get the phone to Brody, the consequences could be very scary indeed for Dylan as Brody has already proved he’s capable of carrying out his threats.

Meanwhile, there’s a possibility that Brody also has connections in Coronation Street itself, as fans have speculated that his parents are recently arrived Lou and Mick Michaelis (Farrel Hegarty and Joe Layton). Could Sean also find himself in trouble with the neighbours if that’s the case?
