A HUGE explosion is to rock Weatherfield with one resident’s fate left hanging firmly in the balance.
The Platt household will go up in smoke as devastation and destruction hits Coronation Street.

In dramatic scenes to be screened next week, a mystery figure pushed a lit rag through the letterbox of the Platt’s house.
Next door neighbour Sally Metcalfe soon smells the smoke and dashes to the Bistro to confirm to everyone that the house is on fire.
Fearing that Lily Platt may be trapped inside, Shona, Max and Nick head on in, in an attempt to rescue her from any harm.
Nick finds Toyah unconscious on the floor whilst Max and Shona head upstairs.
As it is later confirmed that Lily is safe and well, Shona goes back out on to the street to find David who had been AWOL.
However, it is now Max in grave danger as the teen finds himself trapped in the house amid the big blaze.
As David and Shona head back up the path, the whole entire house soon explodes.
But what will be the fate of Max?
Later, the fire engines and paramedics arrive on the scene with it being confirmed that Toyah suffered smoke inhalation whilst trapped inside and she needs to be raced to hospital.
She has also sustained a head wound and when Leanne arrives to check on her, Nick is left disgusted by her drunken state and sends her on her way.

Eventually, the firefighters discover Max’s lifeless body inside the house.
As they bundle him into an ambulance, David climbs in, distraught, as it appears that Max is just moments away from death.
When Shona quizzes David about the fire, he promises her he had nothing to do with it and he was with an old mate.
When PC Kit Green later confirms that it was in fact arson that caused the blaze, David becomes convinced that Logan is the one who is responsible for the fire.
But with some suspicions also pointing to Leanne after she was discovered with a box of matches in her bag, just who was the real culprit?
