Coronation Street Soap Scoop! Gary’s shock Theo discovery
Coronation Street fans can expect an almighty blow-up in the Bistro next week when Sarah Platt tries to glean intel on Theo Silverton from his ex-wife Danielle – only for Todd’s abusive husband to catch her in the act.
As Todd’s loved ones desperately look for ways to save him from Theo, attention turns to his life before he arrived in Weatherfield.
It’s Gary Windass who suggests that Danielle, as the woman married to Theo for many years, may have experienced abuse at his hands. So, Sarah arranges to meet her to talk, but things go horribly wrong when Theo and Todd walk in and find them together…
“No-one can blame Sarah for being desperate to help, but this is a terrible miscalculation – Theo is sure to go ballistic,” explains our Corrie insider.
“After initially being discreet over her suspicions, she’s managed to blow her cover and inadvertently make Todd’s abuser even more furious and dangerous.”

Now that most of Todd’s closest friends are convinced that his new husband is a monster, it’s no wonder that Sarah feels unable to sit back and do nothing. After speaking with George Shuttleworth, who fills her in on his fears about Theo and his concern about not having heard from Todd, Sarah decides to act.
Waiting outside the flat until Theo has gone, Sarah pleads with Todd to let her in so they can talk. Reluctantly, he opens the door, but this small victory soon leads to another big problem when Theo returns unexpectedly.

“What Todd’s loved ones don’t understand is just how much Theo’s abuse has taken its toll,” continues our source. “He can’t see things clearly anymore, is consumed with fear and drowning in self-hatred. Sarah’s kindness and care matter to Todd, but he’s in so deep, he feels he can’t get out.”
Sarah’s decision to reach out to Danielle comes after her chat with Todd in the flat. His reaction when Theo returns, and the terror at being caught, confirms Sarah’s worst fears.
That’s why she takes Gary’s advice and asks for an audience with Danielle.
However, what will Danielle have to share about her experience with Theo, and what are the consequences now that Theo knows that Sarah is onto him?
