Coronation Street Sally Carman teased a two-word clue as Abi and Carl Webster threaten to have their affair exposed.

The actress made her debut as Abi Webster on Coronation Street back in 2017 and has tackled some harrowing storylines including her former drug use, and the death of her eldest son Seb who was murdered.

Abi struggled with vivid flashbacks of Seb covered in blood from the attack. These visions increased after she witnessed the stabbing of Mason Radcliffe..

In recent episodes, Abi struggled to cope as her husband Kevin Webster was diagnosed with prostate cancer and he had to undergo chemotherapy after his operation.

Viewers watched as she tried to ignore the connection with Kevin’s brother Carl Webster who arrived in Weatherfield earlier this year.

However, when it was revealed that Kevin lied when he told her that he still had the cancer after being given the all-clear, Abi soon fell into the arms of Carl. Since then, the pair have been going behind Kevin’s back as they keep their passionate relationship a secret.

Appearing on This Morning alongside soap expert Sharon Marshall, Sally spoke with presenters Emma Willis and Andi Peters as she teased the latest twist.

She joked: “I’m exhausted!” about her year on the soap so far, and when asked if she knew about the storyline in advance, Sally added: “You kind of get dribs and drabs, you can ask but I’d rather not because I don’t know when to stop talking. The less I know the better!”

Reflecting on playing the role of Abi Webster, the actress admitted: “She’s brill because when you’re an actor you want to hit all those spots […] and with Abi everything goes… It’s been amazing, she’s a cracking character and I love her to bits.”

As Sharon asked why Abi is in self-destruct mode after finally landing in a beautiful family, Sally responded: “She’s got the biggest heart in the world, but it’s a very immature heart.

“She follows it all the time… She’s also an addict and there’s that pull now of an adrenaline hit… She knows she shouldn’t, it’s too much for her.”

She added: “Whatever she does, it’s 100%, whether it’s good or bad.” Sally then shared that Abi does believe her and Carl are “genuine” and she wants to believe him when he promises her they’ll be a family unit.

The actress then revealed that fans are not happy with her, and continued: “You cannot mess with Kevin Webster” before adding, “I’m team Kev!”

As Carl and Abi are close to getting exposed and the truth rumbled, Sally was asked if she can give any clue as to how they might get found out.

Sally responded: “Two words… Tracy Barlow”.
