Coronation Street has revealed a first look at how Betsy Swain responds to Carla Connor’s big plans to pop the question.

Next week’s episodes see Carla continue her mission to surprise her partner Lisa Swain with the perfect proposal – but first, she wants the approval of future stepdaughter Betsy.

During a moment alone at No.6, Carla tells Betsy all about her intentions.

Betsy doesn’t give much away at first, but soon offers her blessing. Carla’s clearly overjoyed as she gives Betsy a big hug.

Meanwhile, in Wednesday’s episode (3 September), Theo Silverton’s jealousy rears its ugly head again.
