At the DiMera mansion, Kristen checks in with Rolf over the phone about the second half of the serum, and she doesn’t want Xander getting one drop until he hands her Titan. Brady walks
in at that point, and Kristen hangs up.
Brady has a bag with him, a belated Halloween gift for Rachel, and asks if Kristen was just talking to Rolf. She claims she was just checking on the serum. Brady calls what she’s doing is wonderful, noting she hasn’t always been altruistic.
Rachel runs in, interrupting them, and is glad to see her dad. They hug, and he gives her a bag of Halloween treats. Rachel asks her dad to stay for a special lunch she made for her and Mommy, so he agrees.
Rachel runs off to finish making the lunch, and Kristen thanks Brady for staying. Brady was hoping to discuss the visitation schedule. Before they can, Rachel returns with finger sandwiches and tombstone cookies. Brady eats one and tells her the sandwiches are delicious. Rachel hopes they can take a ride in his new car. He says they can, and she asks if Mommy can come too.
Brady thought she enjoyed their daddy-daughter dates. Rachel does, but wonders if her dad doesn’t want to be a happy family again. Kristen reminds Rachel that they talked about this. Brady says he and her mom care about each other but don’t want to return to the bad days and all the fights they had. Brady thanks her for the lunch and says he’ll see her soon.
Brady leaves, and Rachel tells her mom that she wishes Daddy didn’t have to go. Kristen tells her daughter that maybe someday they’ll be the family she wants them to be. Rachel begs her mom to make it happen.
At John and Marlena’s, Holly arrives to see Tate. He’s sorry he didn’t respond to her text last night, as he didn’t see it until this morning. She assumes he was busy. He confesses that he was with Sophia last night. She says he doesn’t have to explain as she knows Sophia has been moving in on him, and they were broken up. Holly admits she screwed up and made a huge mistake and was hoping he might take her back. She regrets her mean and stupid actions, cares about him, and is sorry.
Tate appreciates what she said. He asks what happened in Paris. She reveals she forgave her mom and Eric. She also learned his dad was innocent and is glad he’s free. Holly admits she transferred her anger over Eric and her father’s death to him and his dad. She thought if his dad were punished, it would right the wrong with her father’s death. What she did was awful, and she is sorry she hurt him. She again states she wants to work things out if it’s not too late.
Tate tries to tell her about Sophia, but she stops him. She knows he and Sophia are friends and that Sophia hates her. She just wants Tate to think about forgiving her and maybe starting over. He is glad she’s home and glad things are better for her, and he’ll think about what she said. Holly thanks him and decides to head out, saying she’ll see him at school.
Later, Brady returns home and senses something is up with Tate. Tate says Holly was just here, and she came to apologize to him and wants to get back together. Brady notes, from his demeanor, it appears that’s not a good thing. Tate admits something happened that Holly doesn’t know about.

Vivian stops her and offers to cut her in on some of the Titan money. Vivian hints Kate could use it to finance that soap opera of hers.
Kate says Philip is already Victor’s son, so what does she bring to the table? Vivian says she provided a letter from Victor insisting he wanted to leave everything to Philip, not Xander. Kate realizes the only way she’d get such a letter is to have forged it. Vivian admits she’s so clever. Xander warns him not to play games with him. Philip tells him that he’s all talk and no follow-through.
Xander grabs the gun and aims it at Philip. He says he’s not afraid to pull the trigger, pointing out that he’s done it recently and still has a killer instinct when it comes to protecting his family. Xander says he has a death wish if he insists on stopping him from transferring Titan to Kristen. Philip tells Xander he has no proof Dr. Rolf’s snake oil will work.
