This article contains spoilers for tonight’s (Monday, March 30) Coronation Street, which has not yet aired on TV but is available to watch now on YouTube and ITVX.
Theo Silverton’s (James Cartwright) abuse of Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) has finally been exposed in Coronation Street, and Todd’s loved ones are determined to help him escape.
Last week, Todd was left stunned when he discovered that Theo had secretly planned for them to get married.
The fact that he hadn’t been invited set alarm bells ringing for George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley), as he began to suspect that Todd hadn’t had much say in the ceremony.
Devastatingly, his fears that there was something wrong were realised when he heard Theo berating who he thought was Todd, unaware that it was actually George.
When Todd got home and the truth dawned on Theo, he tried to play it off as a joke, but George had seen enough, and tried to encourage Todd to leave Theo and stay with him instead.

However, Todd is still in love with Theo, and when he suggested that they move to Ireland, Todd agreed.
Unaware of Theo’s plans to take Todd away from Weatherfield and his support network, George has remained determined to help Todd get away from his husband, and he’s got notorious villain Gary Windass (Mikey North) on his side.
When Todd failed to show up for work in today’s episode, panicked George approached Gary, and together they resolved to take action.
Gary wasted no time in calling Theo to the builder’s yard, where he made a show of throwing his tools into a bag.

Having made it clear he was no longer willing to work with him, Gary called Theo a bully and a coward, before warning him that he was coming for him.
This seemed to have little impact on Theo, who continued to insist that he and Todd were happy in their relationship.
While Gary distracted Theo, George visited Todd, begging him one last time to leave with him. When Todd refused, George gave him an emergency escape bag that contained everything he would need to leave at short notice.
When Theo returned, having seen that George had been round on their doorbell camera, he questioned Todd about what they’d talked about.

Todd was quick to assure him that he’d set George straight, and that they were leaving soon anyway, so there was no need to worry about his interference.
Will Todd really go through with the move, or will he find the courage to accept George’s offer and leave Theo once and for all?
We know that Theo’s time on the cobbles is set to come to an end, so could he and Todd be set to jet off to Ireland after all?
