The following article contains spoilers from an episode of Coronation Street that hasn’t aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX.
Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) has been arrested in Coronation Street.
The popular character spent the afternoon at the Platt house in tonight’s episode, as David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) decided to organise a family BBQ. Also in attendance was Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien), Shona Platt (Julia Goulding), Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) and his partner Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor).
Earlier on in the episode, Shona had popped into the salon to see Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls). She was busy cashing up, and said she wasn’t coming to the BBQ as she had other plans.

Listening in on the conversation between Shona and Audrey was Lou Michaelis (Farrel Hegarty). Ever since Mick (Joe Layton) was arrested for killing Craig Tinker (Colson Smith), Lou has found herself isolated from the rest of the Weatherfield community.
After hearing that Shona would take the salon money back home for David to take to the bank, Lou realised that she had left her phone. An idea forming, Lou then needed to get someone else to look after her two daughters, so she could go to the Platts.
Lou ended up asking Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine). He’s previously kept an eye on Joanie and Shanice, and eventually agreed because he knew it would be good practice for him and Sally (Sally Dynevor), who are hoping to become foster parents.

With that, Lou headed to the Platts with Shona’s phone. She was invited in and sat down with the clan, but was regularly given dirty looks by Maria.
Lou found a moment to sneak off, but it was spotted by her enemy Maria. In the lounge, the two women ended up arguing over Lou planning on stealing the salon cash.
Moments later, the residents in the garden heard a huge smash. Rushing inside, they found Lou in the middle of the coffee table after falling through it.
Lou was sent to A&E but was supported by Gary Windass (Mikey North). While this happened, Maria protested her innocence, but everyone around her failed to believe that Lou could’ve fallen so spectacularly by herself.
As the episode drew to a close, Maria tried to grab a quiet drink in the Rovers.
