Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) was up to no good in Coronation Street again tonight, and he risks facing serious consequences for his actions.
The detective has recently been embroiled in an on-going feud with newcomer Mick Michaelis (Joe Layton), which began when they were teenagers.
Their feud escalated this month and resulted in Mick murdering PC Craig Tinker after he pulled him over for drink driving.
In a bid to get his own back on Mick and give him a taste of his own medicine, Kit arranged for him to be brutally attacked while behind bars.
It wasn’t long before his boss, DI Costello, began to suspect that the attack had been an inside job, and called Kit and DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) to his office.
When Lisa went round to tell Kit that they had been summoned, he made no secret of the fact that he had orchestrated Mick’s attack – much to Lisa’s fury.

As Lisa argued that they had enough evidence to lock him up for life, Kit pointed out that Mick deserved payback for what he’d done to their friend and colleague.
With Lisa won over and agreeing to keep the truth from Costello, Kit paid Mick a visit in hospital.
He wasted no time in bragging to Mick that his injuries were his handiwork, leaving Mick furious, but in no position to lash out.

Having got the upper hand over his rival, Kit used this to intimidate Mick into encouraging Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) not to visit.
Viewers will know that Brody is Kit’s biological son, and he is terrified of the teen turning out like Mick.
When Mick resisted Kit’s threats, even after he threatened to have him killed, Kit hit him where it hurts by insisting that he could easily take Brody and Lou Michaelis (Farrel Hegarty) away from him.
