Chad and Cat going skydiving doesn’t sit well with Jennifer.
It’s crazy and incredible how many lives John Black has touched. After watching the Thursday, June 5 episode of Days of Our Lives, Jack and Jennifer returned. And we were reminded how John helped Cat’s mom and grandmother. And how Leo once thought John was his dad. In other Salem news, Doug was relieved after learning Arianna was 18 and fretted over the money he owed a loan shark. Holly went to comfort Tate after learning John had died. Gabi and a returned Rafe discussed the missing memory chip that should hold the identity of EJ’s attempted murderer. And Chad contemplated canceling his skydiving date with Cat.
Jennifer Needs Answers
Jack (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) returned to Salem to attend John’s funeral. But when Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) updated Jennifer on a couple of things, an angry and resourceful Jennifer emerged. Jennifer said she had been hunting down the necklace that Melinda (Tina Huang) sold. She was using all of her contacts, but nothing yet. She didn’t blame Julie for kicking Doug III (Peyton Meyer) to the curb. So that makes us wonder if we’ll get a Jennifer versus Doug III scene while she’s back in town.
In addition to the Doug III discussion, Julie told Jennifer about Chad’s skydiving date with Cat Green (AnnaLynne McCord). Understandably, Jennifer despises Cat. After all, she pretended to be her daughter and created chaos and pain for Jennifer, Jack, and especially Chad (Billy Flynn). Jennifer never believed Cat was Abby (Marcy Miller). And so she has clearly held on to her anger for the woman.
And to hear that suddenly, Cat and Chad are on a date has to feel like a betrayal and out of left field. She knows Cat has reasons for what she did, but there’s no forgetting the pain she inflicted. And on the other side, Chad has been here in Salem, and sure, he held a grudge for a while. But he has also seen Cat be remorseful and do her best to make amends. He knows that Clyde (James Read) was the one responsible for the debacle and has come to terms with what happened. However, he still feels conflicted, and he still wonders if he’ll ever be able to move on from Abby.
Needless to say, Chad will have some explaining to do to Jennifer. Jack might have a little more sympathy for Cat, considering his past isn’t what you’d call squeaky clean. Does Jennifer have the right to be upset with Chad?
Burning Questions
When will Doug’s loan shark strike? And is that who hired the photographer to follow him?
After Thursday’s episode, do you think Tate (Leo Howard) and Holly (Ashley Puzemis) will get back together?
Why did Holly end up finding out about John from Arianna (Marissa Reyes) when Eric (Greg Vaughan) is in town? Will we get to see Holly and Eric interact while he’s in Salem?
Another Cat mystery to add to that strange phone call she had a while back. Why was Cat so interested in Sami (Alison Sweeney)? What’s the connection?
How great was the Spectator conversation between Jack and Leo (Greg Rikaart)? It really touched on a lot of history…and also Jack’s begrudging acknowledgement that Leo has turned out to be an asset to The Spectator.
Since Leo and Jack mentioned Gwen (Emily O’Brien). Did that conversation signal Gwen’s impending return? We know she will be back this summer…
