Coronation Street recently broadcast a series of compelling episodes focusing on Asha Alahan’s journey as a trainee paramedic.
Consequently, the ITV soap welcomed a fresh face, Sienna, who serves as a fellow paramedic and workplace mentor to Asha, portrayed by Tanisha Gorey. Actress Charlotte Tyree brings this character to life.
Following her Weatherfield debut, Charlotte took to Instagram to share a selection of backstage photographs, writing: “Shift on … Sienna’s in.
“Having a tremendous time on The Cobbles so far! Everyone at @coronationstreet has made it so welcoming and a truly wonderful experience for me. Being a Northern Lass and stepping on to the iconic street feels incredibly special.
“@tanisha.gorey has been so generous and such a delight to work alongside. Now I’m going to go Roy’s Rolls to finally get Asha that Brew…#Coronationstreet.”, reports the Daily Star.
Among those celebrating Charlotte’s achievement was Liz Fletcher, wife of Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher. Sharing Charlotte’s post on her Instagram Stories, Liz added the caption: “My sister in Corrie!” alongside celebratory emojis.
The pair have maintained a close friendship for years, with Liz previously posting in 2016: “We have absolutely nothing in common, she loves the stone roses, I love little mix, she wears creepers, I wear heeled trainers! ! !
“But somehow, she is the kindest, sweetest, daftest person I know, who drives me mad with her demands for coffee and how loud she is in the mornings but I couldn’t ask for a better best friend! !”.
“If we had never met being cast as Gayle and Jen in that god awful play, how boring life would be xx happy birthday hot stuff @tyreehairdo.”
Also responding on Charlotte’s post was actress Tanisha, who plays Asha, she penned: “The best partner evurrrrr” with heart emojis.
Meanwhile, DS Lisa Swain star, Vicky Myers wrote: “Absolutely chuffed to bits for you” while Michelle Keegan, who previously played Tina McIntyre, added: “Go on girl” with a heart and celebratory emojis.
The actress previously portrayed Fay in the 2011 Channel 4 mini-series This Is England ’88, created by Shane Meadows.
In the programme, her character enjoyed a romantic storyline with Shaun (Thomas Turgoose) and appeared alongside celebrated performers including Vicky McClure and Stephen Graham.
Beyond This Is England ’88 and Coronation Street, Charlotte has appeared in ITV’s The Long Shadow and Still Open All Hours.
