Junior Knight’s (Micah Balfour) life in Walford has gone from bad to worse in EastEnders.
The character arrived last year and was introduced as George’s (Colin Salmon) distant son. Away from their difficult relationship, Junior found time to flirt with the likes of Bianca (Patsy Palmer) and Chelsea (Zaraah Abrahams) – despite literally having a wife and child.
When Monique discovered Junior’s betrayal, she decided to leave Albert Square with their boy Xavier.
Shortly after Junior’s loss, his affair with Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) gathered pace.
The two characters snuck around behind George and Ian (Adam Woodyatt) for months. As it continued, Junior started to develop genuine feelings for Cindy – which was a mistake.
Their affair was exposed on Christmas Day, when George played a recording that saw Cindy talk to David Wicks (Michael French) about Junior.
The fallout saw Cindy attacked by a mysterious resident with a shovel. With the culprit not being revealed until next month, the Beales and Knights are continuing to clash with each other as accusations fly.
Coming up, Anna (Molly Rainford) spots Gina (Francesca Henry) having another chat with Harry (Elijah Holloway) and remains deeply suspicious of her.
Meanwhile, Junior learns that Monique has cut off his access to Xavier because he’s a suspect in an attempted murder case.
Later, clearly impacted by the news, a troubled Junior exposes a shocking secret about Gina.
As fingers are pointed at Gina, George steps in to defend her. While she attempts to explain herself, a smug Ian tells Elaine (Harriet Thorpe) that he plans to report Gina to the police.
But given the identity of Cindy’s attacker isn’t being confirmed for a few more weeks, has Ian got the wrong end of the stick?
